    Motor threw #3 Rod on the Dyno.....

    trying to figure out what may have happened here and looking for opinions....

    motor was fully built with Wossner pistons and rods. 1/2 inch studded motor. stock head and cams with 1mm over valves. bike was running perfectly fine for the last two years.

    bike was tuned at 20 lbs of boost makn 410 hp on 93 pump gas a couple days ago.

    today the bike was tuned with C16 and the boost was 17 lbs. and it threw the #3 rod right thru the engine case. pistons are perfectly fine. heads are fine. nothn went thru the turbo and nothing locked up.

    cam chain still in tact. AF was 11.5:1 straight across. injectors are fine. there was zero detonation. any ideas.....

    does there need to be an oil modification done cause the #3 seems to be a common rod to go.

    Sorry bro... I haven't been on here much. What oil have you been using? How often do you change oil? What oil filter do you use? How many pulls did you make? I run stock oem oil pump gear and never have had any oiling issues.

    Detonation usually kills them. How old was the fuel? Sometimes internal parts aren't balanced 100%.

    A lot can be taken into consideration. Sometimes its just time.. I've been lucky.
